Bernard Wiggins Jr.

Bernard Wiggins Jr. was born and raised in the South Bronx, NY. He lived there until he was 15 years old and moved to Florida in 1988.  In 2001 he was sentenced to Life in prison for burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault and aggravated assault causing great bodily harm.

His life sentence was overturned due to ineffective assistance of counsel and improper jury instructions. He was resentenced in 2007 for aggravated assault and sentenced to 15 years.

After serving 15 years in the Florida state prison system, he relocated back to New York. Bernard is now a Senior Supervisor for an organization that helps formerly incarcerated men reenter into society.
