Clover Perez
I was sentenced to federal prison for ten years for a white collar crime, in which I served 8 years. I was released on March 7, 2019. Since my release I was accepted at Columbia University in the Justice Scholar Program which has helped me immensely to lend my voice towards advocating for criminal justice reform.
I’m also the Executive Director of A Beautiful HEART Ministries, a nonprofit organization whose mission is twofold: first, to improve the quality of life for formerly incarcerated women and girls by providing resources, educational tools, trauma care, spiritual guidance, entrepreneurship, workshop, and seminars to facilitate change, and restore healing. Secondly, to cultivate a loving and nurturing home for children of incarcerated parents, by meeting the social, economic and emotional needs of this forgotten population.
I’m also the host of The Clover Perez Justice Reform Show on Gynesis Radio which brings a narrative and multiple forms of knowledge from individuals who have been incarcerated and wants to share their stories, along with organizations that are fighting for criminal justice reform. I have also developed relationships with different organizations, testified before Congress on “The First Step Act.” I have also received numerous awards, featured on CBB, and interview for various magazines.
